Well for the most part everyone is wrong...(for the most part )
I'm not selling the car
The rims didn't get stolen
They didn't get damaged
The fitment is spot on (custom built rims)
Black is not ugly*
And I love the ride with 19's
*The black was just too much of a contrast for my liking. So I sent them back to ADV1 to have them refinished in something a bit lighter in color. It should make the car pop a bit more. I'll post new photos when they come back in a couple weeks.

Looking forward to seeing the updated wheels. For the record, I love the wheels in black.

Ask any serious German or Italian super-or-sport car designer and they won't pause when answering this simple question.
Clearly, when you look at the above pictures (before & after)..... your white Boxster on silver is a winner by far.
Well done!

The car looks great with the black rims IMO, Porsche, Ferrari and Lamborghini all make cars with black rims on them from the factory,Maybe you should have a talk with their designers.

...the silver rims look too small on your car with the body work, black rims have the perfect stance

keep them! I think they look better. When I first bought black rims I hated them. eventually they grew on me and now, when I look before and after pics, black rims look the best

Are you refinishing them in white? That seems to be a bit of a trend lately.

I have Black on my speed yellow Boxster and they look fantastic, but due to the law changing with reference to smoked/tinted rear light clusters I'm going to have to change them back over to the original lights, so I've got myself another set of Boxster wheels and had the refurbished in a chrome (not in your face chrome) finish.
Don't want to change them but I will be doing it soon, I will post some before and after shots when done. in the mean time I just put them alongside my black wheels and took these photos.
I did think about having them done in a grey colour as that looks smart.
Guvs.
Note :-
I'm also in the process of painting up some center caps to go whit the new wheels.

I should have been more clear...
The stock rims are TEMPORARY until my rims come back from refinishing. The car sits in the garage and is not driven with the stockies on it.
And yes, I agree that the car looks goofy with 17" stock rims on it.
Cheers
