New Boxster, new to 986forum

Hello all

I purchased my 2001 Boxster S this past spring- hopefully the first of a few Porsches I'd like to someday own. It's in great shape and has just over 23k miles. This forum has been a great resource for info, has answered a lot of questions, and always has me thinking about doing some mods of my own in the future. It's great to see so many owners posting and contributing.

Thanks for the comments, guys. I bought the car with just over 22k and had a blast putting about 1k miles on this summer- mostly just due to my work schedule. My wife and I had a few great day trips through the Berkshires. And my 4 year old son is addicted. He's a future Porsche owner for sure. I've been reading and taking in anything Porsche and Porsche Boxster trying to learn as much as I can. There's such history to this company and I'm glad to have a small piece of it. It's tucked away for the winter, but I'll be the first one out this spring!

Very nice low mileage find! Trips in the Box with the wife will be priceless, as we remember a lot of them when we first purchased mine.

Beautiful condition, great find on the low miles. There are tons of resources on this site that will help you with everything from soup to nuts on her.

This is my first Porsche, so I don't have much to compare it to other than my daily driver- which is an '01 Saab Viggen. I think the Saab's road noise is loud in comparison to top-up driving in the Porsche. I'd say they're quiet.

Thanks, Asa! Seems like spring is almost here in New England. Can't wait to get back out on the road.

Pretty car, I bet it would look great de-ambered and replaced with smoked lenses. Welcome to the world of "overpriced sewing machines".

Big welcome to another Boxster and Viggen owner, you've got the best of 2 brands!
