Thumbs up Well.....great cars!

The garage isn't what I was expecting. I thought this was one of those threads about a showcase garage. But, what's in your garage, well.....definitely IDEAL!

Armstrong Vinyl Composite Tiles

Are you kidding me?...painting the floor in that pattern would have taken forever. These are the commercial grade tiles in which the material goes throughout the entire tile. So, scratches or marks can be buffed or polished out. Took about three days to put on. If you can't tell by the picture there are 3 garage spaces or about 600 sq. ft.

I like the finishing touch - must be nice to get the "Checkered Flag" every time you come home!

I have actually seen 1 garage floor painted checked -- took about 36 hours to paint (3 car garage). How are the tiles applied? Are they self-adhesive or did you need to apply a glue/adhesive?

The commercial grade tiles require a thin set adhesive. The bond is much stronger than the peel n stick ones. Also the seal is more resistant to moisture.

Do those cats sit on and scratch the roof?

I used the 'scatmat'

A scatmat is a thin mat that you place on the hood of your vehicle. It emits a shock upon contact. It took only a couple of weeks to train the cats from jumping onto the cars. They've never jumped onto any of the garage parked cars for over a year now.

How did you train the cats not to jump on the cars?

Where can I get one of these Scatmats?
Will they send one to me in Australia?
All the neighbourhood cats sit on my roof when I'm not around. I can tell by all the fur. No possums yet, but it woudn't surprise me.
