Side Air Intake Mods

With all for this talk about body kits and cosmetic mods lately, I thought that I would solicit members for their opinion on these turbo style side air intakes. I was thinking of adding them to the "Danger Mobile". Based on what I've been told, the intakes are made out of high quality polyurethane, and they're basically plug and play. What do you think ?

Interestingly, depending on who you purchase them through anywhere from $266.00 to $650.00+ per pair. I first saw them when another member posted a thread regarding Rieger body kits (www.rieger-tuning.de). Shortly thereafter, I saw the exact same items being offered by a seller on Ebay for a fraction of the cost. (cult-werk.com)

It looks like you don't get the lip at the leading edge of the intake that Porsche added in 99-00.

That era had a completely different design.

Right. I presumed that you were referring to the turbo models of that era.

Back to the original post. I'm not a big fan of mods. I prefer to keep things the way they left the factory. But, I love these intakes.

I'm thinking I might like to go with these. with shipping, they'll set you back about $150 for the pair.

Really good looking Boxster! Do your wheels have a lip on them in the rear? I can't tell by the angle.

The rears have approximately a 3" lip and the fronts have a 1" .

Very nice, I ask because I have lip on my wheels that's polished and the all black is really nice. Do you have any other pics that show off the lip? I painted my wheels from the original silver they were to semi flat black. I'm thinking of a repaint and maybe I'll just go all semi flat this time.

Really like the front bumper with the integrated side markers, who makes that piece?
