My GT2, GT3 and TechArt kitted Boxster S, nearly nothing left untouched :)
OK, so Ive had the car for 2 months.
I bought it completely stock (aside from lowered springs). In the two months I have had it, I have aimed to get the car looking exactly the way I want it, mods including stereo, paint colour, bodykit, and pretty much everything. As of now the car is nearly finished, just waiting on a few bits (which should be here/installed within a couple weeks), and the car is 100% finished and as I want it. Unfortunately since its raining badly in Brisbane, I cant get decent pics, so this will have to do for now.. Will update thread when I get some good pics that arent taken with a dodgy pocket camera or phone. I think it looks great, you have definitely put some thought and $$$ into it
|
Looks awesome mate, great to see another Aussie silver boxster looking sweet!!!
Can I email you a couple questions regarding your lighting, stereo and wheels? Regards, Sam |
Now the headlights have no more orange :)
(thanks to sparker for the inspiration on this one).. definitely not a mod for the faint of heart.. was a bit scary... http://www.firesport.com/cars/silverporsche/hlmod1.jpg http://www.firesport.com/cars/silverporsche/hlmod5.jpg http://www.firesport.com/cars/silverporsche/hlmod6.jpg |
Looks great!!
|
Nice job, but how come the car looks seal grey in half the photos, and silver in the others?
|
Glad you got the mod done, the de-ambered front lights look fantastic on your boxster - well done!

in some of the new pics it still kind of looks silver in some light, but i guess thats just due to the metallic in the paint? |
Oh Mark, forgot to ask more about your front door speaker setup. Do you have any more pictures of the wood baffle you created? And how are your speakers fired? As in, your using kicker woofers via a crossover to your polk audio dash mounts? Or something else?
Sam |
Quote:
The baffle was made based on a template i found from this forum (ill see if i can find it). the door speakers are running off the fifth 'sub only' low pass crossed over amp channel on the soundstream 800.5 - not off the front speaker channels. They are running in parallel (2 ohm) off the one single sub channel. |
wow....your car looks amazing with that kit
|
could you post the name of the kit? or at least where you bought it. Is is fiberglass? Looks great would like to do something like that myself.
|
finally the weather has cleared up after nearly 2 weeks of rain lol.

what bulbs are you using for your fogs?
|
WTF!
Tough looking Boxster fella! I love that rear bumper(got to find one in the UK) and your "amberectomy" indicators finish the front off perfectly (makes you sweat a bit doing it doesn't it) well done. |

pretty fiddly and requires drilling. but worth it. |

I love the steering wheel.
|
what wheels are those , they look real good . are they 18 or 19 ?
|
They're 19's. (says on page 1)
Mark, out of curiosity - the wheels that came with the car, what did you do with them? Sam |
Quote:
still sitting in the workshop with as-new kumho semi slicks (did about 800kms before i decided to buy the 19s). |
Ah yeah, any interest in selling them?
Sam |
Nice car. I hope to see it around on the Gold Coast. I just did the amberectomy tonight - looks so much cleaner!
|
One of the best looking Boxsters I've seen so far, good job!
|
Nice job! The third brake light spec was not listed. Where did you source it and does it light? I was just going to make something but I like the look of what you have much better
|
wow!!!
wow!!!!!!!!!! very nice set up props man!!!! can you tell me where you got the wheels? and what offset you are using?
Thanks Manny |

That is one special Boxster!!!!!!!
|
One of the nicest that I have ever seen!
|
Amazing job! I'm usually not thrilled to see GT3 this and 996 that on Boxsters, but you've really done a great job with this.
I think what really makes me enjoy this so much is that hood (bonnet ;) ), it puts some classic look on the car and makes me really enjoy the front view. The 2DIN unit is also very nice and well done. Kudos, that's a very well done car. |
Hey Mark, I love some of those mods - i hope to see it around the Gold Coast some time. Your car looks pretty damn cool - and low!!!
|
Are the 997 mirrors a direct bolt-on replacement?
