My 02 Boxster S

I've been a long time member of Rennlist and do still enjoy that forum. However I find the Boxster sublist over there is not very active, so I look forward to participating on this forum.

I've been a long time Porsche owner dating back to the early 80's when I first drove an early 70's model 911. I fell in love with the marque and have had 5 911's over the years. Recently I bought my first Boxster, and I've got to say, this little car has been the most fun of all the P-cars I've owned. Oh and BTW, did I mentioned the list of cars I've owned included 996 versions of both the TT and the GT3! This little Boxster S is the closest to automotive nirvana of any car I've owned.

I enjoy doing a track day about once/month. Usually it's at Sebring where I enjoy running with Chin and PCA. Here is a recent video clip during one of my run sessions. I was running in the instructor run group. Check out about the one minute mark when a Carrera GT zooms by after turn 8. I was catching him at turn 10 as I thinking I was braking later. After turn 13 I let up to let a couple faster cars (drivers) go by.

BTW, this is the first time out with this video camera and I didn't have the settings correct to get sound. It was mounted via suction cup on the right front quarter panel.

Glad to have you here, welcome.

A 911 owner who loves boxster handling is a testament why I choose boxster over a used 911 in the first place.

Welcome, Mark!

Are you, or were you, involved with SCCA in Central Florida?
Your name rings a bell, but my bell has been rung enough times that that doesn't mean a whole lot!!!

Nope. I run with various PCA regions and with Chin.
