99' Rear End 265 18's

My 99 I just bought. Is it just me or is the rear end of Boxster sexy as heck?

Donny, it's not just you. The back end of the boxster is hands down one of the best looking features of the car. It's low, wide, and very aggressive looking but not angular.

jaykay 05-07-2010 08:33 PM

....the 986 rear lines are much nicer than the later 987

Christian H 05-08-2010 08:58 AM

I love my rear from this angle

I put them on myself Jay, had them made up for about £25 at a local sticker shop.

265's on 18's with stock S ride height.

chitowndad 05-14-2010 12:33 PM

Cheetah,
What brand tyres are those? Just curious.

-Steve

cheetah 05-14-2010 03:59 PM

Goodyear F1 GS-D3 265/35/18 rear tires

They are great in the rain, but unusable in the ice / snow. :)

chitowndad 05-14-2010 04:18 PM

Thanks what's the cost per tire and how do you compare them against the stock Pirellies?

-Steve

Don't bother researching further. I have those same Goodyear F1 tires on my car, and while they are great tires (I like them much more than my original Pirellis), they no longer make them in Boxster wheel sizes.

chitowndad 05-15-2010 03:27 AM

bummer did they replace them with a different model?

jaykay 05-15-2010 04:06 PM

Cheetah,

How do you like your Borla?

P.S. Somehow I find myself wanting a green GT3

Here is an option for those "unpainted" bumperettes!!!

Lobo1186 05-23-2010 09:41 AM

how did you remove the bumperettes like that.

He didn't. It's either an aftermarket bumper, OEM european bumper or a really good bondo job. :p
