Update:
Took the car to the local p-car shop and there were no fault codes for the transmission. He said the next step is a transmission service (fluid/filter change). If that doesn't work, I guess...

I would say they will cut you a check pretty fast.

I don't think pulling the rear bumper is that big of a deal to do yourself. I'd probably check for a used one online and you may even get lucky...

When I put my key in, it just spins. The car locks and unlocks just fine w/the key FOB. So, I'm thinking i'm going to take the door apart pretty soon.
