CEL Secondary Air System failure

I recently baught an 02 Boxster S with 92k miles on it. Last week the CEL came on with only a P0410 code. I have been reading up on it as much as i can since then but hav'nt been able to filter through the vast amount of info out there.

The 40 amp fuse for the vacuum pump is good but the vacuum does'nt run on a "cold start". However i live in South Florida and average temp now even in the mornings is 85ish, so not sure if that is why pump isnt running?

Any suggestions on further troubleshooting on my own? Thanks in advance for any help.

I'm in FL also and I believe the pump should start regardless.
