Any 987 owners here volunteer at the Chattanooga Aquriarum ?

My wife and I were visiting the aquriarum and I met a volunteer who had a beautiful Boxster 987....we could have talked for hours.....but vacation. If you are on here really enjoyed the conversation.

Breaking down the hub

Both of my rear bearings came apart diring the pull process.The outer part of the bearing stayed in the car and the inner was on the hub. I purchased one of the Harbor Freight presses and it came off...

Did it with HF tools

I used their large bearing separator and the bearing puller kit. One thing you will need is longer lug bolts, go to MrMetric and buy some of the longest ones you can find...proceed slowly and evenly...

I have a railroad crosstie ( you can buy them most anywhere) cut into 4 pieces....I put these under the car in case the jack stand were to fail....the wood would stop the car....I would probably get...

Try this

Push down on the armrest as you try to open it.....might work. Or you could do what I did and have a thief just break it open for you.....then you have to fix it.
