I take that back. It's probably motor oil that leaked all over the floor. Can someone PLEASE tell me it's not an IMS failure? Are the symptoms of a failure similar to mine?

yes they are interchangeable and plug and play. my 2000 S didn't come standard with xenon litronics and i purchased some from I think a 2003 S.
