the keynote speaker was ferrari's manager of concept engineering, a tech grad. accordingly, ferrari brought a RIDICULOUS showing of cars; essentially a rolling museum. here's an F40:

when i went to tech, i participated in Formula SAE. basically, we designed and built small scale open-wheel cars and then raced them against other schools. here's a pic of their latest car.

sweet! I graduated from Tech in Winter 2002, with a MS in EE. I always wanted to participate with the Formula SAE team, but never had the time and I was out of there. I remember them testing in the paring lot across from the MaRC building, though. Those bike engines sounded so cool.

What brought this show to Tech? There was never anything like that during the almost 2 years I was there.
