Boxster owners

Roth; I take it you too have a black one.

How many black one's to we have so far?

I think when the weather clears u p and we can drop our tops we should meet at memorial. I think some of these boxster owners do not appreciate the "machinery" that they posess.

The new Cayman will be my next vehicle...lol.

My Boxster

hello my fellow Houston Boxster owners.

I finally got my vehicle and I have to say it's one hell of a machine. I got it last Thursday and I have been having a blast. Still trying to get used to her and little by little learning her "gadgets"..lol.

I got a 1999 Boxster with the front and back light upgrades, it actually looks like a 2003 and no one can really tell the difference.. Unless; your a boxster owner yourself. It has 49,000 miles with the warranty upgrade to 100k.

It's black, black top with tan interior. Of course it had to be a stick. Yes, the women love it..

Maybe one you can help me. I went to the store earlier today and the little wing tail that pops up when your going a certain limit popped and it stayed up. From my understanding it lowers when your speed lowers. Is this an option to keep it up? did i press something that I wasn't supposed to? Is it some kind of mechanical failure? can you help?

Gilbert

Ps. I will take some pics get them posted.

Houston

Yeah,

The weather out here is pretty nice but it won't last that long as CA weather does.

Any thoughts on my issue from my previous email?

If you pressed the toggle down by the fuse box.

The rule the Boxster uses for lowering the fin is a bit of a mystery to me. Seems to me it will give me a turn the egine off and one start up before it takes over on the raising and lowering of the fin.

If you did not touch this switch, then you need to have it looked at by a Porsche mechanic. I know Porsche takes the fin position very seriously as it effects the handling of the car.

Sorry could not be more help

Gilbert, you REALLY need my mechanic. Don't take that car to a dealership. PM me if you don't have one yet.

"Boxster fin"

Rbennett,

It was the "toggle" button. I must of accidentally pressed it.

Thanks.

1 more Boxster in Houston

Just picked up my new '05 in Austin (yesterday) and had the most incredible drive back to Houston. Top down the whole way, with a smile from ear to ear. I've been following the Houston threads for awhile and am curious to see if a Houston club is in the works. Any meets or spring drives planned?

Congradulations!

Congradulations "Houston Mac" on your new purchase!

To all you HOUSTON Boxster owners; A co-worker told me today that I was a vain because I washed my car this morning before I went to work. I just can't stand driving my porsche when it's dirty, especially that it's black.

Brake light

My right brake light went out the other day. I know there is a panel that covers the light from the inside. I looked at it one time but it looks like there is one cable (fuse) that directly goes to the light. Does this have to be replaced? the bulb? can someone please give me some helpful advice?

Can't meet you in Houston I'm several hundered miles East and a little South of you all. but I agree box owners (excluding forum members) are not sociable. Is there any links to local clubs or sites that locate clubs that you guys know about?

Yes, I am.

There is also the Art Car Parade on Allan Parkway this Saturday. Starts at 1pm. So if anyone wants to meet at the Parade, that could be fun too.

Who else is in?

Gary
