Boxstoberfest, Sept. 7-9
Anyone else planning to meet other Boxster owners in Fredricksburg, Texas in September?
The wife likes Fredricksburg and wants to go. It's a nice 3 hour drive from Houston, and there's some decent twisties around there as well. Not Tail of the Dragon twisty, but as good as we get in Texas!

Randall, I plan to go again this year. I have made the last three and had a lot of fun. Hope to see you there.

I'm planning on making it out there this year, since F-burg is relatively close to me!
I'm only going to be off work Friday and Saturday, so I won't be there Sunday morning. I'll drive home for the evening Friday night.
Should be a pretty good time! Y'all come on down!

Didn't see the thread =)
Hey I just posted a message on the topic and missed this one. I'm going with my buddy. First time for me. Anyone want to caravan on Friday? We're planning on leaving between 1p-2p on Friday.

To save some bucks, I'm staying with my wife's aunt and uncle in New Braunfels Friday night. So, caravaning is out for me.
However, Saturday morning I'd love for us to meet up over breakfast! If you would, please PM me with your real name and your cell phone number so we can call one another Friday night or Saturday morning!
I'm looking forward to meeting all of you there. It should be great fun.

I suspect I'm going, but I'm coming from Dallas. I bet Hotels/Motels are pretty booked up by now, no?

Jeph, the Fredericksburg Inn had some rooms available last time I checked.
http://www.fredericksburg-inn.com/
No lodging in the area is cheap though, and this place is no exception... Fredericksburg is one of those hill country town where husbands spend far too much per night on lodging to keep their wives happy and every hotel, motel, inn and bed and breakfast house owner knows it.
Etna and I are staying there Saturday night, opting to shack up with relatives in New Braunfels Friday night to save some money.

Hey Norm and any other others,
When do you plan to make your way to the event? And does anyone know of any other boxstoberfest threads out there?
Thanks!

There is another thread about Boxstoberfest...
http://986forum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12333
Do read my post on the bottom of it about avoiding traffic in Austin and choosing the country road with all the twisties to get there through blanco and lukenback.
