Proper coolant for these cars

First off, I have searched both this board and renntech and there seems to be a bit of confusion on whether to use the Dex-cool (OAT formulation) compatible product or the HOAT formulation (Zerex G-05, etc). I perused DJ's post where he showed a pic of the G-05 he swapped in after making the mistake of using the plain old green stuff, but the Renntech thread clearly stated to use Dex-cool and the Zerex website recommends Dex-cool for all VW, Audi, and Porsche applications after 1996.

So, which is the correct coolant for those that know?

Patrick

We touched on this subject yesterday. Somewhere in MNBoxster's response, I think you'll find the answer you're looking for.

This is all excellent reading. It would seem the proper coolant for us is the Dex-cool variant. Someone correct me if I'm wrong please.
