Wax on or wax off ?
Hi all,
The Boxster drivers manual mentions that due to the Hi-Quality paint finish, waxing is only required infrequently.
My previous car (MR2 Roadster) was treat to serious Autoglym loving on a very regular basis, but I do not really want to go against the manual for the hell of it and potentially reduce the quality of the finish ?
So what do you think, Wax on or Wax off ?

Getting my hair cut is only required infrequently, but then I don't look so good... difference is what is required vs. desired.
Wax as much as makes you happy, so long as there's no abrasives involved...

i would wax on....
I am a big fan now of the Zainos products as mentioned in some posts around here. I think you will be very happy with the results they provide

Thanks jmfilly, i'll look into Zainos ... although as I said I've been using Autoglym for years but am always prepared to try something else, certainly if based on a recomendation.
I have always been concerned about the degree to which some polishes cut, previous cars have been black and any of the cutting polishes ended up producing polishing 'rings'. My Boxster is AS and so shouldn't suffer (or look to obvious) if this happens, but I'm very keen to minimise any adverse effects.

I'm a Zaino user as well; there is no abrasive in their clear coat finish product. In my experience, it lasts much longer than a standard wax product - but others agree as well.

I have used Zaino and Zymol (carbon). Both produce great results The key is, add something, hopefully of high quality. follow the manufacturers' application instructions and enjoy the shine. Plan on some time to apply.

I just ran out of my 3 bucks a can kits carnuba wax. Time to get some good stuff to see if it is actually any better. Went to autozone today and I was looking for zainos, but no success. Where can one find this wax? Oh, and how much? I did see blueish Zymol in a plastic bottle but nothing else. I thought zymol was a multi step wax proccess?
