Nope, no difference in sound/performance. They are internally the same just with different tips.

Not true, boo boo.

At least not from the 2001 non-S that used to be
on my non-S.

I found one from a 2004 S and although I had to
find tips for it (from Suncoast, I think) it sounds
way better and louder.

It's still not loud enough to suit me, but it's way
better than the original.

Oh, and internally, they are not the same.

You can see some of the differences by looking
through the inlet pipes.

Hey Houston, if you want louder, I'll sell you the Tubi I'm taking off my '04 S to put the stocker back on. The wife said it's too loud, and if Momma ain't happy....

I didn't know Tubi made an exhaust for a 986 Boxster (pre-05). Do you have pics of your Tubi, and how much you asking for it?

I appreciate the Tubi offer, but as I need to soon find
a buyer for it, I had better stick with the stock one.

The replacement is an ordered '07 and will have one
of the first factory sport exhausts out there. I hope it
sounds GREAT -- it costs enough to!

Sooo....

Anyone out there know someone looking for a super
clean '01? Arctic Silver (I know -- aren't they all?) but
this one has the Boxster Red full leather interior.

Ask Randall -- he has seen it and even drove it to lunch
one day.

Anyway, it has 15K miles and runs perfectly. It'll need
new tires before too long, though, so the tire question
is -- Sumitomos/Kuhmos/etc. for $400 - $500 or
proper N-Spec ones like Michelin/Bridgestone/etc.
for $1000+.

Or leave it to the buyer.

So if you all know someone, please send 'em my way.

mweisser@net1.net is the fast way.

Merry Christmas to you all...

- Mark
