Parking light replacement

I turned off my car with the lights still on tonight and discovered something, the parking headlight on the right side is out. Not the main headlight or the foglight, but the non-HID bulb just beneath the headlight that stays on when the car is parked with the headlight switch still on.

Since I'm going to have to replace it, I'm kinda wondering what my options are. Normally I guess I'd just get another OEM one, but has anyone upgraded those lights? Should I worry about them being even (new one vs. 6-year old one), and possibly replace both? The headlight units themselves are factory Xenons I think, I can take them apart to replace just the parking light, correct?
