Really not a helpful bunch of answers thus far. Look guys, the noise problem in Boxsters is not the wind, but a deep exhaust rumble. I myself don't mind it, as long as the trip is not real long, but I really like to have the wife along, and it's a really penetrating noise for her.
As far as my Lexus sport convertible goes, yes it's fast and much quieter, but a Boxster is leagues beyond it in handling. That's why I have both...

Oregon John....

....you cannot have a stock exhaust muffler.

Post a photo of the muffler under your Box and we can suggest options.
