Base Tiptronic CV axles are apparently an enigma

Hi guys! I'm new here, just bought a 986 Base Tiptronic (for less than $2000 ) I got it non-running and had to slap a used tiptronic unit in there, but that's a different story.

My CV axles started clicking, are there any aftermarket replacement options? I'm a little hesitant to run to the dealership for this, since parts will run me about $1900. Yikes.

I'm not opposed to rebuilding the CV joints either, I just need to find the parts! Everything out there seems to be either for the manual tranny or the Boxster S. The part number that I have is 986.332.024.08.

What are my options?

Paragon used to sell them, might want to give them a call.

Rock auto only has the boots I can't seem to find the whole axles or the joints anywhere. I'll give Paragon a call and see what they say.

Enigma, those things? I use them to hold the wheels on my parts cars. I thought they were laying around in everyone's yard.

How much money are we talking? I think shipping alone was almost $40 when I sent Audi axles out a while back.

I think this one shows a different part number, but should work:

I've bought from that seller before with no issues.

Generic photo, bu details show this fits... LKQ: https://www.ebay.com/itm/313485220159

Thanks for the help everyone! I wanted to avoid used parts. Turns out the only people offering new axle assemblies are from Stuttgart 🙄

I found the inner cv joint from GKN, and plan on slapping them onto the axles I have right now.

80 bucks later and the axles will be pretty much new. I hope I don’t get TOO much grease all over the place.
