Where were the 986 Boxter Engines made?

So I see most 986 boxters were made, more like assembled in Finland than Germany. Is the actual engine and tip trans made in Germany? I read somewhere that 90% of 986 boxter parts were actually made in Germany. Correct? Ger. :ah:

Probably, but no personal knowledge.
I can help with this: it's "BoxSter!"

Porsche assembles the engines in Stuttgart, at least for the sports cars . However, most assembly for the 986 happened in Finland.
When I toured the factory a few years ago, they said they still make all of the sports car engines there.
