2002 Boxster S
Lapis Blue/Blue top/grey interior
Boxster S
Year: 2002
Miles: 17k
Time owned: 1 year
Major problems:
- Random low speed clang/rattle from rear end ended up being an exhaust issue (believe it was headers rattling against block?), dealership replace entire exhaust under warranty to be safe (might have happened in ar shipping or defect) and they replaced rear main seal (also under warranty) at the same time. They noticed a small leak.

Year: 1997
Mileage: 94,800
Time Owned: 27 months
Repairs (all repairs feel major on this car due to the expense!):
• Horn pad replacement (I did this on my 4 spoke before I upgraded to a 3 spoke)
• Second key made (listed due to the $%&# expense!)
• New instrument cluster (old one had an LED out on the speedo area)
• Transmission swapped out for a lower mileage one due to a 1st Gear "braaaaap"
• New Sachs clutch
• Brake pads.
• Front lower control arm (driver's side) replacement (Now done TWICE)
• Fuel Sending Unit Replacement
• Rear struts replaced (one was bent from previous owner's stupid driving)
• Ignition switch replacement.
• Driver's side radiator fan replacement
• Oddments tray hinge replacement
• Oxygen Sensors (all four, of course)
• Seat belt receptacles, both sides.
• Radiator coolant tank resoivor replacement - plus the cap.
• Passenger's side window regulator.
• Top mechanism dash switch.
Now I am listening and watching for the next big repair... tracking arms. They tend to go out around 100k.

Bought in March 2004 with 23,316 miles
No problems. Only issue was a bad rear wheel bearing at 30,000 miles. Otherwise perfect car. Last weekend my neighbor commented that my car looked showroom new. I love the look on peoples faces when I tell them it's now a 7 year old car. It's not my daily driver and it is always garaged.
