I'm looking at getting some new wheels for my 2002 Boxster S and a lot of people on ebay advertise 19x11" rear wheels as fitting the Boxster. Is this true? As an example, I was looking at these:

How about a 10.5" rear?

Thing is I'm watching an auction for an 11" wheel, looking like a good price so far, and the style I like. But it's no use buying if it won't fit

Anyone else have some comments?

I've actually purschased a set from them about 6 months ago, but in silver. The ones I've got are 19 x 10 on the backs.

at 10.5" your pretty much at the limit, you could sqeeze an 11" there but it would require sticking out beyond the fenders and i dont think that looks good.

Hey All,

I have gone through about 25 sets of wheels on my car so far...and I think I am the first to run 11's on the boxster. As long you run the proper offset you will be fine.

Most of those aftermarket copies only come in a standard offset due to the nature of the single piece wheel.

I ran a 295 tire on my 10.5 wheels and my 11" so there isn't a real benefit, still the same size width tire.

So a 19x11 with an offset of 40mm will fit a Boxster rear....

I would think with the appropriate amount of negative camber, the offset of the rims and the tires you choose it might work. Are you looking to do this for a Performance or Aesthetic reason?

More for looks.....I like rims with a huge lip....looks sexy in my opinion....But its to much trouble getting a 19x11, I could settle for a 19x10.5.....

Lip size doesnt really matter on width of the rims...it does help but with a 10.5" rim as long as you get the proper offset you can get a pretty deep dish. I've had a 2.5" to a 4" lip on my car before all on either a 10" or a 10.5" rim.
