p0124 po134 CE light

I located and read this thread:
http://986forum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5081

I just got a check engine light (CE) with code P0134 today. No other codes. I went ahead and reset it and I've driven 30 miles without it coming back on.

I have a 99' with only 37,500 miles - miles seem too low to me to have a failed o2 sensor.

My question is, do you guys think it could be anything else before I shell out about $500 for 4 new o2 sensors?

I'll probably do some testing with a multimeter and torch and of coarse I'll visually inpsect, but I wanted to check with everyone to see if they had any additionall input.

I have not noticed any hesitation or surging of the car... The fuel filter has not been replaced. But I have a new one, and I might just replace it first and see if the CE comes back on.

Thanks,
Larez2

We could help you. We need some more input though. What does code P0134 mean? Any changes made the car lately?

Oops, I guess I left that off:

P0134 - o2 sensor ckt no activity bank 1 sensor 1.

It's the same error code you got a while back after your replaced your MAF.

The last change to the car was an oil change about 5k miles ago. The spark plugs were replaced at 30k.

Thanks,
Larez2

Did you check to see if the wiring from the o2 sensor are properly connected?
