Upper door squeak

I have a similar problem and have isolated it to the latch - it occurs as the part of the latch in the door wiggles around on the part of the latch that is mounted to the body. If I spray it with WD40 it goes away for a little while. I am thinking of trying a cover of some sort on the latch part that is mounted to the body- perhaps cut a piece of small tubing.

So, I'm late in getting to this discussion, have a 2003 S. I'm experiencing the same squeaks that everybody is talking about. Does the GPL 205 really work? Where does one purchase the miracle goop?

I don't know about the 205 stuff but Pelican sells Gummipledge, which is a weatherstrip lubricant.

Here is a really quick fix to try. Wrap the body mounted latch\striker plate loop with electrical tape. It seems completely ghetto but it works! I've been told that the real fix is just to adjust this plate, I've just been too lazy to get the needed triple square to adjust it.
