Flat spot around 3k

I noticed a flat spot during mild acceleration around 3k. Seems almost like a little hesitation. Anyone have a similar experience?

Do you by any chance have a Tiptronic car?
Tippers will evidence a slight hesitation at about 2700-3000 rpm (depending on who's watching the tach) in 2nd gear because of the operation of the Vario-Cam. Do a search on "Tiptronic Hesitation" and you will find a discussion of this phenomenon.

No flat spot at all that I can notice in my Boxster 987S. What model are you driving? I understand the Cayman has a flat spot at that rpm range due to the vario cam plus but haven't noticed it on my Boxster.

Yeah, I guess it would help if I listed the model. 2006 987s with the 6 speed. A little hesitation under mild acceleration at 3k. Doesn't happen under hard acceleration. Just wondering if it was common.

Thanks

I do not have this hesitation with my 987S (same as you, 2006 with 6-speed manual). Have you been to the dealership for service? Are you past your break-in period? Did you do the proper break-in?
