Question on Replacing EVAP Regen Valve

I'm planning to replace my Regen Valve p/n 996 110 129 06. I've done a search on this forum and others and found a lot of helpful info, to include San Rensho's post. I think I have a good idea of how to do the replacement on the top end of the engine, but had some questions concerning the connnection on the bottom end.

Does anyone have any photos of the connection under the car? The part itself has what looks to be a press and clip type connection. There's a lot of plumbing under there, and I'd like to have a little better orientation before I dive in.

Thanks!

The bottom isn't bad to get to. Just follow the line down. The connection is at the base of the firewall. I just replaced mine and it took care of my problem of not wanting to start after filling gas tank.

It's kind of a pain to get at the bottom connection. You need to put the car up on jacks or on a lift and also open up the engine access behind the seats. Once you do that, it's a little finicky, but you'll be able to easily follow the line and replace it.

Thanks for confirming that I need to open up the panel behind the seats. I had a feeling that would be required. This part looks like a real bugger to replace on both ends. I was looking at the top end today, and I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to get at the thing under the air intake. Quite the pain in the butt.

UPDATE:

Just finishing replacing the valve, and thankfully, it was a lot easier than I had anticipated. From start to finish, about an hour. Here are a few tips just in case anyone else needs to tackle this project:

1. As I think San Rensho stated in his earlier thread, a pair of 90 deg angle needlenose pliers are really helpful for removing the clamp that connects the valve to rubber hose that runs to the throttle body.

2. I was able to remove and refasten the little 8 mm screw clamp on the underside of the intake without too many profanities. I only dropped the screw once.

3. There is no need to remove the bulkhead panel in the cockpit. You can very easily access the opposite end of the valve connection by putting the car on stands. You'll need to remove the aft-most underbody cover for access. The valve connection is on the driver's side. It is immediately adjacent to another similar connection, but it's very easy to just trace back to make sure you're pulling the correct connector. In the photo, I've circled the Regen valve connection. I believe the other line connection is for fuel return.
