Front brake pad differences for S

The previous owner of my 2000 S had fitted a set of Pagid RS-14 so-called "racing" pads to the front of the car, but they squealed when cold and therefore were a pain to live with when the car is used as a daily driver.

So I bought a set of Textar pads, based upon the Porsche part number per the parts catalog.

Now that they are here, I wonder if I have the correct pads.

The Textar pads on the left all have a short roll pin sticking out of the top edge of the pad, and a trial fit of these pads to the caliper shows me that I will need to remove this pin for the pads to fit. Also, the Pagid pad on the right is a bit taller as you can see. Finally, the thickness of the Pagid pads is greater than the new thickness of the Textar pads.

So I am wondering if anyone can advise what might be going on here?

Perhaps these new pads are for the non-S calipers?
