Inner tie rod removal

Is it possible to rremove the inner tie rod end using a 30 mm crows foot or is the special tool necessary. Pelican says to use a pipe wrench but it doesnt look lkke theres much room in there to use a pipe wrench.

There really is no room for much of anything when working on the inner tie rod end. We use a Mayhew tool that slides over the tie rod and grips the inner flats, and it pops them loose with no fuss:

JFP. Could I ask? Do you usually ​counterhold the rack portion in any way on removing and torqueing the inner tie rod in?
And If so, the rack holding device, like Huzar's tool: Hercula Grip, are on the market
(Products to suspension - Huzar EN).
Are there any other safer effective methods for the counter holding?

I bought the harbor freight inner tie rod tool around $40, it was not metric but had adapter so close it works and I figured I may never use this again. There was no need to grip the rack with that tool. Should be all just gripping the inner tie rod to remove and install

And...
Counter-hold at sensitive steering rack or not,I believe, is another safety- pursuing step unrelated with whether the tool can or not to release and install the inner tie rod to the rack.

Again, counter holding is not required, we have never had an issue doing it this way.
