In a previous life, aeronautical engineer for the DOD we did millions and millions of oils samples from every component possible. And with the data base we had got very good at predicting failures. Have a new Boxster S and have kit from BlackStone at the ready. Little did I know it was going to get an oil change. So, in about 2500 miles its time. With more Porsche owners sampling the value of sampling
Improves the results for all of us.

There is such a data base for the M96 engine. And you can get an expert to asses your M96 oil sample free of charge when you purchase the correct oil from them.That source is not Blackstone ,nor Caterpillar who only perform generic tests .The company is RND Europarts. The guy in charge is Konrad .
