Cruise Control Fix

Anybody know why my cruise control sometimes works, but other times does not. Sometimes I have to push it in super hard for it to register as it not a button and almost seems hydraulic. Any advice?

Thank you!!

Are you talking about the switch on the end of the cruise stalk? (the cruise enable)

On my 2001 Boxster S it clicks on and off really easy.
