MFI Relay - Pin 85

Hopefully someone can help. I'm doing an engine swap (Audi 2.7t into Boxster S).

I've got the starter relay working fine but i'm struggling with the MFI relay. Pin 85 (red/brown) is shown as going through connector X59 pin 3 and into the DME (plug D pin 23).

Is it a switched ground controlled by the DME? Does the immobiliser have anything to do with it?

Yes, its a switched ground. The DME will not switch it until it has received the w-line signal from the immobilizer.
