vehicle speed sense wire?

I am considering installing one of the late-model aftermarket DVD/radio/navigation units, which require a vehicle speed sense in order for many of the navigation features to work. Does anyone know where I can tap this signal? Is it available on a wire harness somewhere, such as one going to the cluster?

thanks!

I know that factory radio has speed-sensitive volume control. If you check the wiring diagram for your radio, you should find the correct wire. With the CDR-220, the wire is the one plugged into Socket A, pin 1.

I was looking at an AVIC-Z1, if I can have a bezel custom made for a decent amount of money. Otherwise, I was looking at a single-DIN unit like the N3 specifically, but for the right price I might consider an N2. Please PM me more details and your asking price.

The speed wire is the gray/pink on the radio connector. The wire under the seat is for reverse.
