door membrane sealant

Is there a correct door membrane sealant to use when reassembling door internals? Looks like it could be some white, Wurth product..

It would be a shame to go through all the work and have it leak after.

It is a simple sealing mastic, and can actually be found as a tape that can be cut and applied.

We use 3M brand sealants and mastic, but there are other quality alternatives.

Thanks for the seal specs gents. Just thinking as I heat up this old sealant and membrane: will these new sealants allow me to go back into the door in the future…. not that I ever want to. The new sealant may mean ripping things apart to get back in….

I’ve used acoustic sealant used in home construction. Can be found in the caulking section of Home Depot etc. it stays sticky and pliable.
