I suggest you sell the car and buy something that is more to your preferences.

You'll have lots of difficulty swapping in an engine whose fuel delivery, wiring harness and ECU is different from the car you have.

Thanks for the comments. I do really love my Boxster and see no reason to change or upgrade to another Porsche. I have had a few Porsches in the past (996 GT3 CS, 996 Carrera 4, 964 Convertible) and the Boxster is (still) a great machine.

The only optional move would be to sell the car and buy a 996 or 997 Turbo Convertible. But that would cost even more.

I always love a challenge so upgrading the Boxster is one of them . My car made 320 HP at the crank. An easy but not so wise upgrade is to go to a 3.6 tuned and have about 340/360 HP at the crank (and sell the 3.4).

This is my ride:

^ Keep keep, and keep. Sweet ride

I'm having fun with a stock 2.5L modded with only a full NHP headers/100cells/muffler system and can only imagine what yours feels and sounds like. Vids of your ride in motion would be priceless to watch, if you happen to have

Luck with the upcoming upgrades bud

I wil eventually make a video of the car! As soon as the weather gets better here.

I already have some options for a supercharger. Does anyone know if the engine dimensions of a 2.7 boxster engine are the same as the 3.4?

Externally they are the same except the intake manifold is about 2" inches taller due to the alloy "stacks" between the head & intake.
