The Bentley Service Manual says to use a 5 mm socket or special tool from the tool kit to detach the headlight. It should then slide out.

Hi,

The best tool is a 5mm Nut Driver if you have one. You pull the rubber plug covering the bolt hole and then insert the tool and rotate it Clockwise. You will hear a very loud POP when it releases. This is normal and no cause for alarm. Similarly, you will get a near identical POP once you insert the light back in and twist the tool Counter-Clockwise to lock the Lamp back into place. Be sure to listen for the POP or you won't have locked the unit back in place and risk having it fall out the first time you apply the brakes. You can use a 5mm socket w/ extension, but the Nut Driver gives you a little more control on the torque you apply. Hope this helps...

Happy Motoring!... Jim'99
