Fitting a "S" Muffler to a 2.5

Is it possible to fit the Boxster S Muffler to a 2.5 engine without serious modification. Will I get any noteworthy improvement in performance and or sound if I swop out the 2.5 Muffler with the 3.2 S Muffler?
