Replacement engine question

When a new crate engine is purchased from Porsche does it come complete with the the intake distributor, distributor tube and resonance tube?

Crate engines usually dont come with anything except for the block, heads, and valve covers. All the misc stuff like brackets can vary from year to year, so you switch them over from your engine

Here is what a Boxster replacement engine came with in 2000. Probably the same today.

Definitely not the same today. Remanufactured engine from Porsche includes everything bolted directly to the engine. When you remove the engine the replacement will have the same parts attached. Intake manifolds, SAI except the pump, A/C compressor, flywheel & clutch if manual trans, exhaust manifolds. What do you expect for $20,000. + core charge.

Sorry, but just to be clear are you saying the intake manifold crossover tubes are included in the new engine?

Yes, every part of the intake, fuel rails & injecters, new throttle body, I think.
