Big Yurk Thread. Knowing how you like your Box mate, I really feel bad to hear about your trouble :/

You wouldn't have gas-up in a shabby little remote village's gas station by any chance? As in one of those places where they illegally mix the gas with (evaporating) acetone? Just saying because different type of gas, different type of motor noises. If you are very familiar with the sound of your engine and you throw in some either good/bad quality gas in there the engine often sounds different - some comes with nice 'ping'in' sounds as well.

It wouldn't explain the CEL and code you are getting tho

If the sound gets worst/louder on accel, you know for sure it's a mechanical fault somewhere. If it goes away it might just be the petrol you are using? juss guessin'
