Gt2 wheels from a 996 on a 986

Is there anyway to make it work?

Actually 12 in wide in the back. I know they won't work. I was hoping someone had something magical to say.

Remove the rear fenders and struts and they'll fit. Not sure how you'll propel and steer the vehicle though.

Consider it done

They were just such a good deal.

You can't run 11's in the rear practically, Heres what you need.

The correct offset that allows a hair of space between the inside of the rim and strut.
A lot of camber
Serious spring rates with coilovers
Have your fenders rolled

Your wheel will stick out at least an inch, which is ok for autoX. Im not so sure youd want to drive like that on the street

Impossible to fit a 12" mate so don't waste your cash & time.

I recently trial a set of 11" on the 986 with ET35 in the 19" category. They fit but there is MAX 2-3mm left between the (Dunlop /285) tire and the strut - doesn't worth dying only for a badass-looking wheel! Not only that, they are "lead" heavy on a Boxster. Can imagine a 12" incher

I had to go all the way down to 9.5" ET40 with /275 to be 100% safe and without compromising performance (too much anyway).
