Did you get the pads thoroughly bedded? I recently changed front rotors and pads but left the fluid alone. I bedded the pads (I thought) one cool evening but they still didn't feel real solid. Apparently I just didn't get them hot enough because they felt strange and unsettled for 1 full track day and the following day they were solid as a rock. Been good ever since.
