2001 S 3.2 Lifter replacement

I have searched around now and found a few different answers, and several great threads; however, I have also now confused myself.

Question 1.)
Is a 2001 S 3.2L a 3 or 5 chain engine?

Question 2.)
What special tools will I need to remove the camshafts, and replace lifters so that I can properly re-time the engine?

I have seen kits from SIR Tools, Porsche specific tool numbers, and a few others. I just want to make sure I have all proper tools, so that when the engine is out to do the repair I don't strand myself.

Thanks!
