Boxster Driver side Window

2001 Boxster, the driver side window doesn't go down all the way down like it should when a door is opened. I have read it may be a micro switch, at outer door handle or the micro switch in door mechanism. Some say its the motor for regulator or the regulator can some one help how to test and diagnose the actual culprit.
