Ya I guess Pep Boys isn't that great a deal. I can find 0w-40 at Walmart in quarts for $7.00 but they don't have the 5 quart in that weight. I'm waiting on my magnetic oil plug from Pelican and then I will do my first oil change on my car since I bought it last July. It's almost nice enough weather to start driving it again.

I don't want to start an oil thread here, but many recommend 5W40 instead of 0W40.

Yes, I think you are probably right about that. I would only go with 0w-40 if it is being driven in the cold, at least that's how I understand it. Walmart here doesn't have either one in the 5 quart container so I have to buy quarts. Still it is way cheaper than having a stealer do it and I get bonding time with my tools and car. I think this oil change I will go with the 5w-40.
