I know this is a 986 forum, but does......

anyone know if they made a Bentely repair manual for the 987? I know Wayne at Pelican wrote his '101 book' and it does have somewhat common repairs that could work on both models, but it is mainly for the 986. So what do people use to repair the 987's?

The 987 is a 986 with a few cosmetic changes.

One of the most limiting factors in producing a printed aftermarket service manual for models post 986/996 is that Porsche no longer prints theirs, only making the information available either thru the PIWIS network or as a very expensive online subscription. That would deter anyone from considering publishing one as obtaining data would be very expensive, and would probably guarantee an intellectual property law suit.............

Are they trying to prohibit Indy shops from working on Porsches?
That would be too bad, as that's why they have such a feverish fan base is people love to tinker and maintain them , despite their age or short comings.
