Tc/abs warning light.

Hi,
I have a 2000 Boxster S, recently (over the last month) i have noticed the TC/ABS light comes on after engine start, without any movement of the car, it seems to be when the car has just come off the battery conditioner (as i don't use the car so much i keep the battery on the conditioner) after a few starts, (as the battery voltage has settled) the warning lights don't seem to come back, i don't know if this is just coincidence or not. Has anyone got any ideas or experienced anything similar? Thanks for all your help.

Check the voltage on the battery. If you have a cell that is stating to go, this can reek havic on things like TC, airbags etc... When I bought my Boxster, it would start off of "ship's power", but was throwing an airbag fault. Turned out to be a bad cell in the battery. I had a battery cell die on my lexus that took out the TC, no symptoms other than inaccurate gauge readings and not traction control. The car started and ran fine... Once voltage was restored with a new battery, the problems went away.
