Miracles do happen

I have now gone two weeks w/o the CEL on. Is that classified as a mafunction in itself/ Maybevthe bulb is burned out from use. Has anyone had to replace a CEL? Got to get back to figuring out why my horn honks when I go over bumps.

I've seen posts where folks discovered their CEL bulb was missing. Seriously! Appeared the previous owner would remove it to hide the fact that the CEL was on. Yeah, I know, shady. If I remember right, a missing bulb produces a DTC. I wonder if a burned out bulb will also produce a DTC? You should check for codes to be sure.

Also, many threads on this forum about the horn honking over bumps. Can't remember the exact nature of the problem, but remember a few o-rings fixed the problem. Or even a replacement of the airbag or steering wheel mount, I think? I really can't recall right now. Give the ole' search function a try and you'll find your answers.

I presume you have seen the stories about the horn and the steering wheel and the DIY articles that show how to fix the problem. Be sure and disconnect the battery (with radio code in hand for after).
