Air filter size. (cone)

Hi
I'm fitting in my 99 3.4 and thinking about cold air intake
Already have 3.5 maf waiting
Just don't know how big cone filter can I fit there
How big I can/should go?
Will have there het shield as well( just so U know)
Should I go with K&N???

You have a cold air intake in the stock Boxster in that air from outside the hot engine compartment is what is fed to the cylinders.

I think what you are asking about is a "low restriction" filter. Every test I've ever read that was conducted by an impartial publication showed that such filters let in more dirt and particles of smaller size than the stock filter. So you give up something to get something.

Stick with the stock dry pleated paper filter system. Your engine will thank you.

A very good call given the power increase from the 3.4 is going to be quite noticeable all on it's own.
