The lug nuts are my 2002 base with stock 16" wheels are 19mm.

I bought a set for my "03 986 2.7 face lift" they did fit standard nuts but not the locking nut, and also lost 4 of them on my first drive so I would put a bit of blue tack or something inside to keep them on.

I'm having the opposite problem - really difficult to pull off when I need to remove lug nuts. I mean, really difficult.

I bought a set of these and they are pretty cheap plastic, as stated will not work on the lock lugnut and I ended up throwing them away.
Knew one guy that just painted the heads of his lugnuts with chrome spray paint.

Why not just buy stainless steel lug bolts and have done with it. I bought mine 2 years ago and they still look brilliant....

The Design 911 S/S lugnuts are not one piece - they have the loose "collar" as per the originals.
Can't comment on the pitting as I live in the sub tropics with no snow / ice etc, but if your polished finish is pitting I doubt they are stainless and they are probably a ferrous metal with a chromed finish. The UK weather is probably as bad as Toronto for corrosion but they seem to last OK there....

That's good to know. It's been sometime that I have been pondering if I should actually grab one of these lug nuts or not. Maybe I should give it a shot.

Chrome wheel bolts
Here is a pic of the chrome bolts on my car. I really like them and bought them when I added 15mm spacers to all 4 wheels. The only problem is on these '01 Boxster specific wheels the rear ones have deep wells for the bolts so they are almost invisible unless looking straight on. The lightweight Carrera 5 spoke wheels do not have that problem.

I have hired the Dangerous Monkey to keep them polished. They look a lot better than the flat unfinished look of the stock bolts.
