Yeah they did (about 15 miles) and I drive it home and didn't hear it either. With the top up and windows closed, you couldn't hear it. It wasn't until I got home and put the top down that I heard it. When they called me to come pick it up (the first time), they said the tech had just driven it and all was good. I don't know how a sound that loud couldn't be heard when it was buttoned up. I guess it's the brand new top.

Sounded serious to me and that is why I asked where the mike was located for recording. Glad you have fixed the problem and it was not internal. Oil change next ?

Milliemax, sorry I didn't see that question. Yeah, I was in my garage with my iPhone placed underneath the rear exhaust.
